Final week at Unstampabelles

We are on the final count down for the month of June at Unstampabelles. Not too many entries so if you want to be in the draw for a prize get your mojo working and enter for a lovely goody bag of crafty stuff!

The Prize

The Challenge

Create a card for a male. The optional twist is to add an animal without using stamps digi or otherwise!

Here is my inspiration for you.

I started with a square card using white card stock. Then added red card for the background. The red checked matt was then added. I found the image in my Pictures album on my CD....not sure where it was from. I just loved the cute doggy image. I added it to a red matt plus a ribbon strip of red down the side to balance. I then placed peel off letters for the name and sentiment. I punched out a circle in red and added the number peel offs to this. Peel off circles were finally added to the corners of the red  matt.

I hope I've inspired you to join us at Unstampabelles (link in sidebar). For a chance of winning the goody bag don't forget NO STAMPS....we are UN stampabelles.

Have a great week and I look forward to visiting you soon.

'Summertime'

Another challenge for you at Ooh La La and another Summery one. This time it's 'Summertime'. So it could be anywhere from the beach to the countryside whatever makes you think of  'Summertime'.

Here is my inspiration for you.

This is a lovely image from the artwork of Paula Oakley. You'll find a beautiful range of images on this CD. The artwork is stunning!

I wanted to go for a 'postcard' feel to my card and have therefore used a simple layout with the two adorable  beach donkeys and the little stamp image of them too. I added a birthday greeting and couldn't resist finishing it off by adding some grey flat backed pearls.

I hope I have inspired you and I look forward to seeing your interpretation of 'Summertime'.

Have a lovely week and I just to say thank you for all your supportive comments. I appreciate and read all of them. If you are not already one of my followers and you like what you see please click to follow me!!

Have fun!!

'Sun or Sea or Sand' with CD Sunday.

It's time for another challenge at CD Sunday. This time we'd like you to think of the Summer days ahead and time spent at the beach with sand in our toes and the sea gently lapping and of course the sun always shines at the beach!! Well we hope it does anyway!! A great theme for this time of the year. For your inspiration I have chosen a lovely CD from Joanne Sheen with artwork by Tom Melko.

I have chosen to use an A4 landscape orientation for my base card in white card stock. The designer paper and image etc. are all from this CD. it's such a tranquil scene....I love it. There are some other lovely images on this CD . I use it a lot. It is my go to CD for New Home images too.You will find an inspiring range of homes on there from both the country side and beach. But I digress as this time we are wanting some lovely beach scenes please.

I hope you've been inspired. For more lovely ideas please pop over to CD Sunday (link in sidebar)
Have a great week ....in the sun...hopefully!

'Sentiments' with the Dragonflies

It's time for a new challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies. This time Hilde would like you show us a card which makes the sentiment your main focus. Here is my inspiration for you.

I have used two sentiments on my card and added and image in between. I started with a card blanked which was pre embossed and shaped. It's a pretty lemon colour. The image and sentiments are from a Debbie Moore CD 'Victorian Weddings'.

To finish I have added flat backed pearls to the top and bottom sentiments and randomly on the wedding cake.

I hope you've been inspired. For more lovely ideas please visit Crafting with Dragonflies. (link in sidebar)

Have a great week and have fun!

'Pearls' at Ooh La La

A new challenge at Ooh La La this fortnight and the theme has been chosen by Janice......it's 'Pearls'.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I created a 'floating flower' card using pearlised green card stock. The background matts were created using a darker shade of green paper from my stash. The flowers were die cut from a designer paper printed on to card from an Ooh La La CD 'Fleur D'Imagination'. I scattered them randomly across the card. I die cut some ivy leaf spray using a die from Joanne Sheen. Finally adding the flat backed pearls to the flower centres and across the 'bar'.

I hope I've inspired you to join us at Ooh La La (link to challenge blog in sidebar)

Have a great week and have fun!

New challenge at Unstampabelles

A new month and a new challenge at Unstampabelles. Where is this year  going? The official start of the Summer in the UK and I believe the weather is playing nicely....long may it last!! It's the beginning of Autumn or is it Winter, not sure, in Tasmania where our lovely leader Susan lives. Watch out on Susan's blog for some fab piccies of the beautiful scenery is this part of the world. Coming up also this month is Father's Day in the UK, on the 18th of June and with this is mind I made a Father's Day card for our next challenge at Unstampabelles.

This month's challenge is for anything for the male in your life with the twist of adding an animal. Here is my inspiration for you.

I trawled through my pictures stash on the PC and found this fabulous image with matching Father's Day sentiment. The background paper is courtesy of google piccies. You can't really see it but it's a ball of yarn that has been photographed and enlarged. Very clever and shows lots of lovely texture. I'll be using this again I'm sure so watch out for maybe a clearer piccie next time. So there you have it a simple square card for this challenge. I hope you'll be inspired to join us this month. It doesn't have to be a card it can be anything but NO STAMPS please digi or otherwise. ....we are UNSTAMPabelles remember!

As usual there's a great prize on offer too.

The Prize will be .....
a mystery collection of new crafting bits
As it is a mystery - there is no photograph of it!
There may be teasers during the month so watch out on the main blog (link in sidebar)

I hope you all have a good week whatever season you are welcoming. Have fun!

' Shabby Chic' at CD Sunday

The challenge at CD Sunday this fortnight is 'Shabby Chic' and was chosen by Meg.

Here is my inspiration for you.

The CD I used was by Debbie Moore, ' Shabby Chic Vintage Rose'. I printed the background paper , main image, greeting and butterfly from the CD. The main card is cream card stock from my stash which was covered with the designer paper. I added vintage lace down the folded edge and made a spray of flowers using flowers from my stash. I also added a long pin with a pink heart to the flower spray and tied them all together with a matching pink bow. The recipients name was added using peel offs on a two shades of pink card. Finally I added gems to the butterfly.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us at CD Sunday (link in sidebar)

Have a good week. Have fun!

Anything Goes

This time at Crafting with Dragonflies it's an old favourite 'Anything Goes'. So I'm expecting to see lots of entries for this one!

This is my inspiration for you.

I started with pink card stock and added a die cut aperture frame using some  paler pink patterned designer paper. I cut an oblong piece of acetate and punched holes around the edge. I then threaded two co ordinating ribbons through the holes and twisted them as I threaded them. This was then adhered to the aperture.
The wooden butterflies are from my stash and may be from Lidls. The die cut Happy Birthday was cut twice using co ordinating card. Then I offset them to create a shadow effect.

I hope I've inspired you to join our fun cards only challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies.

Have a great weekend. Enjoy!
